The White Swan Red Couch Photo Shoot...
Do you know how many Red couches are at the White Swan? We asked a few poeple where the Red couch was and we were pointed to several. Which made for meeting at 'The Red Couch' more fun then we originally planned.
After waiting by one and no one showing we ventured off and found another and low and behold we found our Friends... |

Maleah was not as Excited about the photos as we were

| Business as usual - Getting the US Visa and Brown Envelope | |
So this time we made sure we were are the Right Hotel at the Right time...
We hopped a bus to go to the new US Consulate office. There used to be one down the Street, but they moved it across town. So what seemed like an hour bus ride later we arrived at the US Consulate office. Which was more like just a floor in some office building. Nothing special. )-:
After Several floors we made it to the Security checkpoint. They took everything… well everything but Maleah, her diaper bag and our passports.
This was pretty informal. We had to show that we were the same people on the passports and that we were the ones that were holding Maleah and that all of her photos matched up. Then we waited and waited. Apparently the computer systems were down all day and they could not print the Visa and other info. After being there for about 30 minutes the guy tells us this, though he gave us hope and said that there might be a chance as the computers just came up and we would be the first group to print. There were maybe 50 families there? So we waited another hour and a half and they started to trickle out.
Once out of the secure area and had my camera back I was able to snap a few more photos before they told me to stop and not to take anymore till I was outside. Don’t they know how important this is to us? Geezzz… |

| The last Supper | |
After the long Consulate visit we adjourned to the White Swan for our Last meal in Guangzhou...
Most of us opted for the buffet, there was quite a variety at this one. The food was okay, though no one really ate much. I stared to get a queasy tummy by the end of the meal.
We headed back to the Hotel to pack up as we needed to get going bright and early!!!
