| First Night... | |
Maleah went down at about 8:30pm last night... Slept for a few hours and blessed us with our first, er um, stinker...
I tried though Jen sweept in there and took care of things while I tried to sooth her. She reasured me that there were pleanty more I could practic on...
Maleah does not like it when we put her down or try to let her stand. She likes to be close to us. She either likes to be close and face us, or held tight looking forwward.
She mumbles here and there, though not much noise from her, well besides when she is being changed... |

| Rise and Shine... | |
Its 5:30am, do you know where your bottle is?
She slept well through the night. Rolled over a few times, but seemed pretty content in her crib.
She woke up around 5:30am and cried a bit. I held her while Jen fixed her bottle. She woofed it down in nothing flat!
We laid together for a bit, she was fighting to keep her eyes open. She has a bit of a cough and is a bit congested. Nothing major, though Chris wants us to let him know if she coughs more then she is now.
We got up to check to see what her Fan Club has written her. She loves the Keyboard. She will be a natural. She moves the mouse around on the screen, though I don’t think she knows she is moving it...
Alas at the end of the emails she blessed me with my second chance to change a stinker.
It took me quite a bit longer then Jen. It was much harder then I thought... My First poopy diaper, A Success!
Though just incase I missed anything we adjourned for our first bath. I think she is a bit unsure of the water. She didn’t like being let go. I had to hold her close while giving her a bath. She liked her hair being washed, but no real smiles out of her. She didn’t like the rinse cycle… Mamma scooped her up in a towel and she was happy again…
Another bottle later and she is down again for a post breakfast nap… (her breakfast that is)

| Our First dinner out… | |
Our First dinner out… Chris took us to a local Chinese restaurant down the street. On th way there we had our first Accident experience on the road. No one in our group, but a moped was over-weight and tipped over. No serious injuries…
The walk to dinner was pretty quick. Dinner was great. I think Chris gets the ‘Bro’ deal. We had maybe 11 dishes at each table (7 people + Babies) and beverages. All the food was really tasty. And it was maybe $8 a person. It was in a pretty nice place too.
The odd thing though was the leopard print on the chairs and the guys playing the flutes. Didn’t seem like traditional Chinese music. Looking at them seemed more like the Homecoming dance or something.
Maleah did well at dinner. I think she is still a bit young for rice. She had a hard time with that.
Headed back to the hotel and crashed…

| Lets see, where were we??? | |
Lets see, where were we??? Oh Yeah, we were in Nanchang waiting for paperwork to be processed…
I hoped that the 200 photos would help you baby junkies out, but apparently its not enough… Comments, more photos, Dialog they all say…
We have a free moment between diaper changes and naps. So I’ll try to post some more Pictures.
After Breakfast we visited a Buddhist Temple. It was over 1200 years old. It was an interesting place. It was one of the more sacred in Town, but they sell tickets to get in. It was really nice and lots of monks and Buddha statues. One of the more interesting shots we got was the Older monk asking the younger monk something about his Cell phone.
After the Trip to the temple we went to one of the Emperor’s places. We were all pretty tires by the time we got there, we were not really sure what the place was, who once lived there and who was buried there. The sad thing was that it was only noon when we got there. Paul observed that the once mobile group was now not nearly as mobile with 7 babies onboard…
We adjourned to the Hotel for Lunch and Naps….

| Walmart once again | |
Since we were not really interested in the Grand Buffet again, we decided to make another WalMart run. The Taxi rides are great. So many near misses with so little if any frustration from the parties involved.
So my English to Chinese dictionary on my handheld came in handy today… We were thinking some cup-o-soup or something for a change over the buffet. We could see images of Chicken, beef, port, fish, shrimp, but nothing vegetable. I typed in Vegetable on the handheld and asked a passer-by. Pointed to the soups and then pointed to the hand held. With no hesitation she picked out a soup and handed it to us, then walked away.
Funny thing about the soup was that it had some meat looking thing on the front picture. Though low and behold the ingredients were in English. Everything else on the thing was in Chinese… Sure enough it was vegetable…
We tried to get come cookies… Picked up three and put them in the plastic bag, took them to the checkout. No go. The checker would not sell them to us. It seemed like the guy behind us was trying to help us, though she took them away and wanted the money for the rest of our goods… Oh well, no go….
